John Gormley
John F. Gormley, age 69, of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 2, 2011 at Beebe Medical Center. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Friday, February 27, 1942, son of the late John and Mary Agnes (Quinn) Gormley.
A resident of Rehoboth Beach since 2000, John retired here from Rockville, Maryland. He worked for the Navy Systems Supply Center in Washington, D.C. for over 30 years, retiring as a manager. He was a member of St. Edmond's Catholic Church of Rehoboth and was an avid reader, liked to work crossword puzzles and enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by his close friend of many years, George B. Martin of Rehoboth Beach, one brother, Gordon Quinn and his wife Shirl of Glenolden, Pennsylvania, several nieces and nephews and his BFF, "Murray," the Wheaten Terrier.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, December 07, 2011 at St. Edmond’s Catholic Church in Rehoboth Beach.
Burial was at Epworth Methodist Cemetery in Rehoboth Beach.
