Ernie Sando
Ernest “Ernie” Sando, 64, co-owner of Bayberry Flowers in Rehoboth Beach, and a retired business executive, passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, at Beebe Healthcare, Lewes.
He is survived by his partner of 23 years, Carl Grimm. He is also survived by his mother, Irene Tamanini Sando Joyner; brothers James Sando and Michael Sando; a sister Cynthia Farley. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Sando. He was a loving uncle to Sarah Sando Cocchimigilo, Alex Sando, Kiernan Farley, Victoria Farley Buckwalter, Shealyn Farley, Harrison Sando, and great–uncle to Anthony Cocchimiglio IV.
Born in Hazelton, Pa, May 25, 1950, he graduated from Hazelton High School in 1968 and earned a degree in political science from Mansfield College. In 1974, he moved to Washington, D.C. to work for the George McGovern campaign. After the campaign, he accepted a job with Sen. Alan Cranston. He later became a stockbroker with Johnston, Lemon and Co. With his success there, he accepted a job with Georgeson and Co. in New York City as vice president, investor relations, from 1979-82.
He left Georgeson to work for Flexi-Van Corp. as director, investor relations and corporate communications, worked for DF Kind and Company before returning to Georgeson and Co. in 1987 as senior managing director and member of the board of directors. In 2000, he accepted a position with Hill and Knowlton, Inc. as U.S. director, financial communications, and senior managing director. He was a board member of the National Investor Relations Institute and a member of the New York Financial Communications Society.
In 2003, he and Carl retired to Rehoboth Beach. Together, they formed C&E Partners and purchased Bayberry, a flower shop and event business.
Ernie was a loyal, generous friend and was considered by all who knew him to be a true gentleman. He shared his life with his family and incredible group of friends. His family is grateful for the exceptional and compassionate care received at Beebe Healthcare, especially from his nurses.
Funeral service were private. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.

Connie Nagle
Constance “Connie” Ann Nagel, age 79, of Lewes, DE passed away on Friday, October 24, 2014 at Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation & Health Center in Millsboro, DE. She was born on Sunday, July 14, 1935 in Washington, DC, daughter of the late John Milton and Virginia Mae (Burnett) Nagel.
Connie graduated from Bladensburg High School in 1954 and would further her education at the University of Maryland. She would then start a lifelong career with AAA where she held various positions until retirement in 1989 as a Purchase Agent with 30 plus dedicated years. Connie loved sports and was an active participant in the AAA athletics activities including golf, basketball, softball, and duckpin bowling. Although she didn’t play football, she was a Washington Redskins fan.
Connie had a generous heart and she dedicated countless hours volunteering. She played a tambourine for the Salvation Army in her younger days. She often did pet sitting for friends and many other people. Above all, Connie was a dedicated caretaker who helped many families through difficult times.
When time permitted, Connie enjoyed square dancing, and especially ball room dancing. She loved meeting people and anyone that she met became an instant friend. Connie was a member of CAMP Rehoboth and had a wide social circle through which she established many long lasting friendships. She also enjoyed good gatherings and her favorite drink of Crown Royal. Connie will be remembered for her positive attitude, story-telling, and always having a good time.
In addition to her parents Connie was preceded in death by her two brothers, Jack and Jimmy Nagel. She is survived by her partner of 35 years, Miriam R. Barton; her three sisters: Barbara Blanton of NC, Caryll Moore and her husband Jack of the Villages, FL and Judy Johnston and her husband Joe of Sneads Ferry, NC; and her brother-in-law, Mark Zivcovich of Baltimore, MD; numerous nieces, nephews, dear friends and her beloved Westie, Saucy.
Funeral Services were Friday, October 31, 2014 at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE.

Larry Beach
Lawrence M. “Larry” Beach, 67, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes. He was born in Glen Ridge, N.J. Sept. 24, 1947, son of the late Ronald O. and Lois (Miller) Beach.
Larry attended Goshen College in Indiana and Quinnipiac College in Connecticut. He enjoyed a longtime career in the hospitality business, managing numerous Holiday Inns through the United States, later becoming manager of the United States Representatives Restaurant system and director of catering. He had a 10-year career as director of finance for the Public Housing Authorities Directors Association.
In 1995 Larry retired and made Rehoboth Beach his home. Here he would be a local shopkeeper enjoying each and every one of his customers. Larry was director of the Community Resource Center until his death. He was also a very active member of All Saints’/St. George’s Episcopal Parish, serving as a eucharist minister.
Larry is survived by his sister, Tina Bechtel of Wisconsin, his sister-in-law, Connie Beach of Ohio; his lifelong partner of 47 years, Wally Johnson; and his nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Kristin, Rich, John and Jeff.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 14, 2014 at St. George’s Episcopal Chapel 20274 Beaver Dam Road, Harbeson. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.

Jeff Morris
Jeffrey Martin Morris, age 46, of Old New Castle and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, died suddenly on Sunday, November 9, 2014 with his husband by his side.
Jeff was a graduate of Concord High School and the University of Delaware. Jeff was the Vice President of the Wilmington Fibre Company in New Castle. He also had obtained his real estate license.
In addition to Jeff’s love of life itself, he adored his Labs, Courtney and Shelby. He also loved to cook, garden, spend time at the beach and travel. Jeff was known to enjoy a glass of fine red wine.
Jeff is survived by his husband, together for 24 years, Mark D. Macomber; his mother, Nancy Dudkewitz and his step-father, Walter of Elkton, MD; his father, John W. Morris III and his step-mother, Mary of Melbourne Beach, FL and Wilmington, DE; his brothers, Steven W. of New York, NY and B. Scott of Old New Castle, DE; step-brothers, Stephan and Raymond; and step-sisters, Dianne, Lynn and Diane. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at the Chandler Funeral Home, 7230 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, Delaware 19707. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation prior to the service, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Internment will be private.
