Dog Days
Ever used the expression “Dog Days of Summer,” but not known why? Well, it drives me nuts when I don’t understand something, so I looked it up: “Dog Days conjures up the hottest, most sultry days of summer, coinciding with the rising of Sirius—the dog star—in the constellation Canis Major.” There’s even a Latin term—dies caniculares. Not that you needed this information, but there’s plenty of information you do need listed below—all designed to keep your time here at the beach from becoming a DOG!
