Art Hope: Resilient Spirit
Cancer Support Community Offers Art HOPE
Art HOPE…Living Wholeheartedly is an ongoing art series designed for people affected by cancer and their loved ones. Living wholeheartedly means that people are courageously engaging in life, even when they feel vulnerable. Each Art HOPE class features a theme participants will explore that will guide them through their healing journey. They will receive resources, insight, and inspiration to help cultivate what they need to live a more wholehearted life of courage, engagement, and purpose.
The Cancer Support Community—Delaware will offer Art HOPE: Resilient Spirit on Monday, May 11 at 5:30 p.m. at its Sussex facility.
Pamela Montague, photographer and social worker, will help creatively construct stationery to share with loved ones, or to acknowledge support, inspiration, energy, or guidance. Participants will share personal vision and message through her collection of photographs called Sand Scripts; select from Pam’s inspiring photographs, or bring in their own photos to use. No experience is needed, Art HOPE: Resilient Spirit is part of the Art HOPE (Healing Opportunities for Personal Expression) series. This program is made possible, in part, by the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency dedicated to nurturing the arts in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
Call 302-645-9150 in advance to reserve a spot for the session. Programs offered at CSC are free of charge to people affected by cancer. The Sussex facility is located at 18947 John J. Williams Hwy., Suite 312, Rehoboth.
