It’s that Time of Year!

PERFORMING ARTS
Ayre Craft—A new vocal ensemble under the direction of Dr. Marcelle Schiff presents their premiere concert Sunday, December 6 (3 p.m.) at the Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware (30486 Lewes-Georgetown Hwy.). $10.

CAMP Rehoboth Chorus presents Sassy, Brassy and Classy—Songs with Attitude, February 12, 13 and 14 at Epworth UMC! You can catch the small ensemble at the Rehoboth Christmas Tree Lighting on November 27, and at the Rehoboth Farmers Market on November 28.
Clear Space Theatre Company (20 Baltimore Avenue; 302-227-2270) presents A Christmas Story—The Musical, November 27-December 13.
Coastal Concerts (in residence at Bethel UMC Hall; Fourth and Market Streets, Lewes; 888-212-6458; P.O. Box 685; Lewes, DE. 19958) presents the VIDA Guitar Quartet on January 16 (2 p.m.) performing Vaughn Williams, Manuel de Falla, Bach, Brahms, Bizet, and Gershwin!
Kent County Theatre Guild (140 E. Roosevelt Ave in Dover; 800-838-3006) has a combination holiday offering of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown and A Charlie Brown Christmas, December 4-19. Auditions for Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead will be held December 6, 7, 8 at 7 p.m.
Ovation Dinner Theater (302-500-1528) presents interactive comedy and Murder Mystery Dinner Theaters all over the area. Check for locations.
Possum Point Players (441 Old Laurel Road in Georgetown; 302-856-4560) offer a comedic twist on A Christmas Carol with their holiday production of The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge, December 4-13.

Rehoboth Concert Band offers A Holiday Peace Concert—featuring a guest vocal ensemble from the CAMP Rehoboth Chorus. Sunday, December 20 (4 p.m.) at Epworth United Methodist Church. Adults: $15, Under 18: Free. Tickets at the door, or in advance at Browseabout Books.
Second Street Players (2 South Walnut Street in Milford; 302-422-0220) presents A Christmas Story, November 27-December 6: $17. The Street Kids Choir presents a holiday concert December 13 at 2 p.m. Pay what you can! *Amandeline Gallery (Galleries at 20 Baltimore Avenue; 302-226-0330) features new ceramic works by Anatoly Turov, figurines by Patience Brewster, Santa’s Knees—cypress Santas by Phyllis Pastore, and Tea’n Crumpets textiles. All handcrafted and all great for Holiday gift-giving!
*Anita Peghini-Räber Gallery (49 Baltimore Avenue; 302-227-2888) brings Luz. H. Arkal of Art Miami to the beach with Planetary Connections. Catch-a-Sketch by Anita is a fun-filled encounter, which leaves you with a colorful naturalistic/ expressionistic keepsake—by appointment. Saturdays and Sundays Young at Art (9-10:15 a.m.) children (6-8 years old) join Anita on a tour of the changing exhibits of important contemporary, global artists, then create their own artwork. Donations help cover the cost of material. Weekly creative fusion dance every Thursday (7-8 p.m.) with Viviana. Monthly Milonga, Tango de Arte (last Saturday of the month, 9 p.m.-1 a.m.), with a free introduction by Adam from Tango Lewes (7-8 p.m.).

Rehoboth Beach Museum (511 Rehoboth Avenue at the Canal, 302-227-7310) has a fantastic exhibit: Women of Rehoboth Beach celebrating the great ladies of Rehoboth’s past, do-gooders, bootleggers, divorcees, business owners, and publishers of lesbian novels! They also have an exhibit spotlighting the lost movie theaters of Rehoboth Avenue.
Scénique Art Gallery (7 North First Street, 302-226-2787) is a new premier fine art gallery specializing in seascapes and fun in the sun. Join them for Gala-Ray Sashay every Second Saturday. Open daily from Noon-10 p.m.
*Ward Ellinger Gallery (CAMP Rehoboth Courtyard, 39 Baltimore Avenue; 302-227-2710) Ward is retiring (sort-of) after eight years. Even though the gallery will be closed, he will continue painting and show his work locally at Gallery 50 on Wilmington Avenue.
*WibergArt and Studio 3 (20 Baltimore Avenue at the Celebration Mall; 302-226-0206 or 302-245-3615) features renowned marine artist, Jack Wiberg, and his original oils of sailing vessels and ships, as well as the work of Dolores Andrew, Joyce Blakeslee, Rose Doster, Wendy Kesler, Melissa McLean and LaVerne McIntyre.
