Thank you CAMP Rehoboth!
I recently had the distinct pleasure and honor of attending the first Mastery Workshop for transgender adults. It was sponsored by CAMP Rehoboth and supported by PFLAG Rehoboth, All Saints Episcopal Church, MCC Church of Rehoboth and Epworth United Methodist Church. It was created under the auspices of Northern Lights Alternatives. This workshop helped shine a light on parts of my soul that once stood in darkness. I think I can speak for all of the participants when I say that we heard your prayers. Thank you for answering ours. This alpha group that you help create will spread a message of hope and information. I pray for more Mastery Workshops in the future so that light can shine on the rest of the world.
I first heard about the workshop while attending a discussion group known as Renaissance which meets at 8 p.m. on the fourth Saturday of every month and is located in the Tunnel Cancer Center. Thanks to the outreach of Mark Hientz. Mark has recently formed a discussion group called Trans Talk which meets at 7 p.m. on the first and third Friday of every month at CAMP Rehoboth.
I received my title of Miss Sussex County Emeritus from the late Fantasia of the Renegade and Lee Ann Richards founder of Miss Gay Delaware. This is an honorary title for my previous outreach in the transgender community and my dedication to Miss Gay Delaware. I intend to use this title to support both Renaissance and Trans Talk in order to shine that light on others. I take great pride in being one of the founders of Christopher Peterson's Eyecons Show. Christopher and his partner James spread this light through his talent.
I urge my brothers and sisters at CAMP and the religious organizations above to continue to support the transgender community. Thank for your light and hope. And a special thanks to facilitators Alice Mazur, Ed Kuebler and their family.

Thanks for all CAMP Rehoboth did for, and gave to, the Mastery Workshop to make it the success it was. Special thanks for the donation, space, and ads that were put in Letters. CAMP Rehoboth made the workshop happen. We know that God had a hand in the workshop. Everyone in all stages of their becoming or being transgender came to the workshop, and their evaluations told us of their new found acceptance and joy. We were truly blessed.

The article about your 25th anniversary in Delaware Beach Life was a wonderful testament to all you’ve done for equality in our corner of the world and beyond. And your silver celebration was also a wonderful event and had great press coverage. Congratulations on all you do.
