The Seventh Annual Wings of Hope…A Butterfly Release to benefit the Cancer Support Community Delaware will be held on Saturday, September 9 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Medical Arts Building Grounds, 18947 John Williams Highway, Rehoboth Beach, DE. The event is highlighted by the release of 250 Monarch butterflies in recognition of family, friends, and neighbors throughout Sussex County whose lives have been impacted by cancer. This free, community-wide event for all ages also includes an amazing display of thousands of paper butterflies, live music from local musicians, activities for kids and, of course, a variety of vendors and refreshment offerings.
Save the date to join in this wonderful opportunity to not only celebrate cancer survivors, but to remember those whom we have lost to this devastating disease. Rain date is Sunday, September 10. For sponsorship opportunities or additional information, please contact me at 302-645-9150.
The Cancer Support Community is part of a national nonprofit organization that provides support, education, and hope to people with cancer and their loved ones. Through participation in professionally led support groups, educational workshops, and mind/body classes, people affected by cancer learn vital skills that enable them to regain control, reduce isolation, and restore hope regardless of the stage of disease. At the Cancer Support Community-Delaware, all programs are offered at no charge to participants. More information about Cancer Support Community is available at cancersupportdelaware.org.
