March 10, 2017 - We Remember

Chuck RobieChuck Robie

Charles “Chuck” Robie, 70, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, passed on Tuesday, February 1, 2017, at Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital following a major stroke.

He was born on May 9, 1946, in Kingston, PA, to the late Dr. John C. Robie and his wife, Irene.

Chuck was dearly loved by his sister, Jule Webber; his nephew and wife, Seth and Anna Webber; his grandniece, Elliot Rose Webber; and many, many friends.

Chuck graduated from San Juan Capistrano High School, California. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from King’s College, PA. He taught at Aberdeen High School, MD, for 30 years; he was the financial advisor for the Yearbook. As an avid skier, Chuck shared his love of the sport with his students by forming a ski club. He was President of the Harford County Ski Club for numerous years. In his retirement, he worked part-time as a desk clerk at the Sand Castle Motel, Rehoboth Beach, where he enjoyed the friendship of his fellow co-workers.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.

 

Ron OtisRon Otis

Ronald James Otis passed away at Chestnut Hill Hospital of Philadelphia, Pa. on January 3, 2017. Mr. Otis is predeceased by his parents Charles and Helen (Otis) Jones and sister Linda Marie Jones. Ronald is lovingly remembered by his sister Charlene Coleman wife of late James, of Pottstown Pa., nieces Angela C. Rose wife of Steve Rose of Exeter PA., Heather L. Foster of Exeter, PA., Nephew James E. Coleman Jr husband of Deena Coleman of Montgomery, AL., a host of great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece.

Ronald was born in Pottstown, Pa on April 6 1944. He attended Pottstown Senior High School. He served in the US. Army in 1963 where he developed computer skills and worked for IBM where he retired after 25 years of service. Home going services were held at Second Baptist Church at  507 N Adams St., Pottstown, Pennsyvania on January 11, 2017.
