12x12xHeART—Works by 16 Artists and Online Bidding Create Auction Fun
The work of 16 emerging and established artists (shown here, and on of the cover of this issue of Letters) is now on display, side-by-side in the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center Gallery. The art will be exhibited from May 7 until May 27, with a Closing Bid Party on May 27 from 4-7 p.m.—and online bidding has already begun! All the pieces in the 12x12xHeART Auction measure (of course!) 12”x12”. The show features the work of: Donna Deely, Vincent Hughes, Andrew Criss, Jane Knaus, Jane Duffy, Lois Schlachter, Sondra N. A Toast to the Old Dogfish Head
Mariah and Sam Calagione toast the closing of their original (and famous) Dogfish Head Brewings and Eats on Rehoboth Avenue. The new Dogfish Head opened next door on May 19.
Fabulous Estate Auction on May 20
On Saturday, May 20 at 10 a.m., a portion of the Goldfarb Estate Auction will benefit CAMP Rehoboth. The auction features: an extensive artwork collection, fine porcelains, glassware, pottery, oriental enamelware, sterling, fine oriental rugs, sculptures, carvings, country primitives, fine furniture, and more. Delaware Humane Moves to Midway
Delaware Humane Association (DHA) has announced plans to open a storefront adoption center in the Lewes/ Rehoboth Beach area in early June. Located in Midway Plaza (18675 Coastal Highway), the center will provide animals ready for adoption. The center will also provide programs and services such as low cost vaccination clinics, retail items, dog licenses, a pet supply resale shop, and pet food pantry.
Celebrating a New Era at Dos Locos
At the popular Rehoboth eatery Dos Locos Stonegrill and Fajita on Rehoboth Avenue, Joe Zuber and Darryl Ciarlante may have passed the torch of ownership but their legacy continues. Co-owner Mit Patel (on left) with the help of longtime staff members including manager Linda Wallace and Alex Mia promise that the good food and fun atmosphere will not change. Wedding Bells at Nassau Vineyards
Louie (of Baltimore Avenue’s Frank and Louie’s) and Robin Bascio were married in a beautiful ceremony on May 6 at Nassau Valley Vineyards by Father Max Wolf of All Saints Episcopal Church.

Letters from CAMP Rehoboth loves to travel, and seems to turn up in the most unexpected places. Pam Wiley, Nan Martino, Kris Martino, and Joan Lelacheur made sure it got a little pre-season sun in Cancun, Mexico. Rich Snell, Jim Dilalla, Fred Episcopo and Steve Janosik explored Grand Turks with it in hand.
