May 19, 2017 - Rehoboth Beach Bandstand

Desert Highway

Rehoboth Beach Bandstand’s 54th Summer Concert Series

Since 1963 the City of Rehoboth Beach has offered free entertainment at the Bandstand for residents and vacationers. This year marks another exciting season featuring an abundant variety of entertainment for all ages to enjoy every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening beginning at 8 p.m.

The Bandstand performances will kick off with the hot summer sounds of Sons of Pirates on Saturday, May 27. Sometimes billed as a Jimmy Buffet tribute band, playing the beach music of Buffett, Marley, Zac Brown, and splashing in classic hits from James Taylor as well as much more. Every show is like a party at the beach. On Sunday, May 28, enjoy a special performance by Desert Highway (pictured above). Their critically acclaimed performances are a nonstop journey through numerous radio hits, top ten singles, and favorite solo works of The Eagles.

The Bandstand season jumps into full swing on Friday, June 16, with its opening act, The Uptown Band. The exhilarating musical synergy The Uptown Band has created with audiences in their home region of the Northeast and beyond since 2006 continues to grow. The Uptown Band is one of the country’s most-requested and versatile acts. The great lineup continues on Saturday, June 17, with a performance by US Air Force Max Impact and Sunday, June 18, Triple Rail Turn, formally Philbilly, will be performing. This band is the Philadelphia area’s answer to country music. A unique collection of musicians from varying backgrounds, Triple Rail Turn brings a tremendous amount of talent and energy to each and every performance.

“This season is one of the best lineups we have had in years,” says Program Director Corey Groll. “We can assure you it will be the most exciting summer season. Whether you join us for one concert or the entire series, we look forward to seeing all of the familiar and new faces in the audience this summer.”

All events are sponsored by the City of Rehoboth Beach. For a complete 2017 event list visit rehobothbandstand.com.
