CAMP Rehoboth Outreach Program (CROP)
Good Things are Happening! May 2017
On Sunday, April 2, 2017, the CROP Ushering Team once again sprang into action for the last CAMP Chorus concert of the winter season performed at Delaware Technical Community College in Georgetown. The team of 4 included two Del Tech students who are members of the College's Spectrum Club, a gay-straight alliance. It was fun working with them, and we hope to collaborate again on future CROP projects.
On April 7, a team of 15 CROP volunteers headed to Southern Delaware Therapeutic Riding’s (SDTR) facility in Milton, Delaware to help prepare their horse farm to meet the special needs of their riders and ensure the horses have the best environment.
CROP volunteers learned about SDTR from volunteer Rich Rattell, who provided a tour that included the new goat “mansion.” Then it was time to get busy. Cubbyholes for riding helmets were painted, stalls were mucked, mirrors in the riding arena were cleaned, an entry garden was weeded and mulched, and the pastures were scooped! CROP volunteers worked alongside SDTR volunteer Kathy Nietch, who shared the nuances of stall mucking and other specialized duties. The CROP volunteers had fun and made new friends in the process!
Saturday, June 3, 2017, 8:45 a.m. to noon – National Trails Day - We will return to Cape Henlopen State Park for a sixth year to celebrate National Trails Day. We will join other volunteers to clean up and maintain the park's trails and beaches. Children and youth are welcome to join in this event. Enjoy the great outdoors as we keep our parklands beautiful! After we finish up, all volunteers will be treated to lunch hosted by the Village Improvement Association.

Spotlight on the Arts - May 2017
The Women’s FEST Art Show has just concluded. Thank you to the 31 talented area artists who exhibited! The Artist’s Reception on April 7 was busy and fun, a good number of artworks were sold, and there were great interactions between artists and art lovers.
