March 9, 2018 - Women's FEST 2018

Janis Ian

Get Your FEST Pass!

LEGENDARY SINGER JANIS IAN WILL HEADLINE WOMEN’S FEST APRIL 12-15

FEST Passes are going fast (twice the number sold last year already!) and individual tickets are selling like crazy for the 2018 CAMP Rehoboth Women’s FEST, anchored by acclaimed lesbian singer/songwriter and Grammy winner Janis Ian along with comic Jessica Kirson.

The FEST Pass is the way to go if you want early seating for the Janis Ian Concert and guaranteed access for the Keynote and more–a $115 value for $80. You can reserve your pass at camprehoboth.com right now!

The weekend is going to be remarkable. Keynote speaker is Delaware Congresswoman, the Honorable Lisa Blunt Rochester, and there will be a special conversation with U.S. Capitol Police Special Agent Crystal Griner, winner of the Medal of Valor for saving lives at a Congressional baseball practice in D.C. last year.

This FEST is dedicated to the memory of LGBT activist Edie Windsor and there will be a showing of the emotional film  Edie & Thea: A Very Long Engagement.

The FEST will also spotlight singers Andrea Nardello, Crys Matthews and Bettenroo, comic Julia Scotti, the giant Ladies 2000 Tea Dance (back in the Convention Center this year!), a book fair with well-known lesbian writers, the Craft Expo, the Broadwalk on the Boardwalk, and much more.

The welcome dance, on Thursday night at the Atlantic Sands is dedicated to the memory of Georgette Krenkel, whose estate sponsored the great big party. Viki Dee and DJ Nan are back again to stir things up at this free event–just because CAMP wants to say Welcome to the biggest women’s event of the year—and known as the biggest women’s event in the mid-Atlantic region.

Add in all the other wonderful events, and it will be quite a weekend.

The Friday morning Book Fair at the Sands will feature writers from Bold Stroke Books, Bywater Books, and members of the Golden Crown Literary Society. These well-known lesbian writers will be reading from their latest works and signing books at the event. It’s a great chance to meet and greet the author face-to-face and check out their award-winning works of fiction, humor, and more.

Fans of the duo Bettenroo (and there’s a huge posse!) will get to hear them in concert at CAMP Rehoboth Community Center, not in a noisy bar, and will hear about their music, their upcoming gigs, and get to know more about these popular performers.

And for travelers, the Atlantic Sands is offering special rates for FEST attendees. Call the Sands at 302-227-2511, tell them you’re coming to Rehoboth for Women’s FEST and reserve a discounted room.

The remaining FEST Passes (Hurry!) are $80 ($115 value) include a ticket to see Janis Ian on Friday April 13 and Jessica Kirson on April 14 at 9:30 p.m. plus a ticket to a Special Event by lesbian historian Marcia Gallo and showing of the Edie Windsor film. The FEST Pass also includes a long-sleeve FEST t-shirt designed by artist Geri DiBiase, one $20 raffle ticket to win an Olivia cruise and guaranteed access and early seating to concerts and keynote.

Presenting sponsor Olivia Travel has donated an amazing trip for a raffle—a cruise from Venice to Greece and the Greek Isles. You can win the trip for two, sailing in October 2018 worth more than $9,000, with a $20 raffle ticket (six tickets for $100) and there will only be 600 tickets sold! Get your raffle ticket, online at camprehoboth.com.

So get your FEST Pass and individual tickets NOW and gear up for April 12-15. The Janis Ian concert will raise the roof on the Convention Center—Be there!
