CROP Helps Clean the Beach and Boardwalk
It was a beautiful day in Rehoboth when 14 CAMP Rehoboth Outreach Program (CROP) volunteers—plus many others—turned out to participate in DNREC's 34th annual Coastal Cleanup on Saturday, September 11. DNREC (the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control) specifically reached out to CAMP Rehoboth, recruiting for a Site Captain at Rehoboth Beach, and CROP team leader Debbie Woods stepped up to fill that role. The group of 38 volunteers split up into two groups, scouring the public beach along the entire length of the boardwalk. Many of those enjoying the beach expressed their gratitude for the volunteers’ efforts. It was a rewarding day, keeping our beaches clean and Rehoboth beautiful. ▼
