Volunteers

Have you ever wanted to: work backstage at an event? Help turn the convention center into a gorgeous dance club? Use your writing skills to help with a magazine? Put your green thumb to work? Help raise money? Seek donations for an auction? Help set-up a silent auction with hundreds of items? Or work on a committee? We've got a job for you!

In the spring of 2009 the new wing of the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center opened to the public. The new facility greatly expanded our activities, projects, and programs as well as providing numerous volunteer opportunities and other ways to get involved.

Our new “CAMPus” depends more than ever on the support of trained volunteers to serve as greeters, committee members, information providers, office assistants, kiosk staffers, or members of our grounds-keepers team (called the Rainbow Thumb Club). We’re always on the look-out for  volunteer coordinators and additional volunteer staff to handle our many events and activities and projects.

To handle the added responsibility and upkeep of our wonderful new facility, we have greatly expanded the committee structure of CAMP Rehoboth. The CAMP Leadership Council involves close to 50 community members who have agreed to serve on various CAMP Rehoboth committees and Boards. We’re always looking for talented individuals able to give of their time, talent, and resources. Call 227-5620 for details.

Volunteer Spotlight

  Natalie Moss

The CAMP Rehoboth Volunteer Spotlight was established to recognize some of the special volunteers who’ve helped CAMP Rehoboth reach its 21st anniversary this year.

We encourage you to check out the Spotlight in each issue of Letters from CAMP Rehoboth  and get to know some of the wonderful, behind-the-scenes heroes that we’re so fortunate to have in our CAMP family.

The Spotlight is an on-going column in Letters  and will feature recipients who have been selected by the volunteers themselves and you, our readers.

If you know someone whose efforts are worthy of consideration, please make a nomination. We’ll be maintaining an ongoing database that’ll be used to help determine future recipients. Email us at info@camprehoboth.com.

And because there’s always something to do, come join us. We always need new volunteers and would love to hear from you. We promise you won’t regret it.
