Yum Yum Summer Singer Showcases
Suzanna and A.J., the duo which makes up the band Red Letter Day, will host national music artists this summer in the courtyard at Yum Yum Pan Asian Bistro, 37 Wilmington Avenue, in a series of Summer Showcases. Scheduled for the first Tuesday of each month, the summer showcases kick-off with The Wicomicos from New York City on Tuesday, June 1, from 9:00 - 11:00 p.m. Tom Gates of Face magazine says, "A Wicomicos performance gives you energetic acoustic music with folk, pop, and rock influences, harmonies that leave you breathless and songs that are lyrically dynamic... See them live and be blown away!" The concerts are free and open to the public. So, whether you come in for dinner, or stop in for after dinner drinks, come prepared to be entertained under the stars! Red Letter Day Comes Home Red Letter Day has toured relentlessly since last summer, recently performing with Edwin McCain in Ocean City, Maryland. And, their song Loser has become one of the top 5 requested songs on radio stations throughout Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. Now, however, having just finished a year on the college circuit and awaiting the release of their new CD, the duo has decided to spend time performing for their friends in what they consider their second home, Rehoboth Beach. You can catch them live at the Renegades free poolside deck party Memorial Day (Monday, May 31) from 4:00 -7:00 p.m. On June 25 and 26, Red Letter Day will play its first gig at the Frogg Pond since they sprang for new carpet and new smokeaters. That in itself is an historic event! |
