Adam and Eve head for the Rehoboth Art League |
Adam and Eve are coming back to the gardenthe Rehoboth Art League garden, that is. The woodland setting of the Chambers Studio on the Art League grounds will be the site for a Feb. 16 and 17 production of The Diary of Adam & Eve from the Broadway musical The Apple Tree. The show will be presented for four performances only on Feb.16 and 17. Tickets are $12 ($10 for Art League Members). Reservations may be made by calling 227-8408. Under the direction of Fay Jacobs, this Rehoboth production stars Nicole Renee and Eric Peterson as the famed Eden couple, with Margaret Allman handling the choreography and making a special guest appearance. Peterson and Allman have both performed at the Art League, most recently with Stage Door Canteen. Peterson appeared in the 2000 production of Love Letters. They have also been on stage at Sundance for the past several years, entertaining the troops prior to the live auction. Peterson has also performed in the revue Twisted Broadway at the Renegade and Cloud 9. This will be Nicole Renee's debut with Fay J. Productions. A graduate of Boston Conservatory, Nicole has worked in New York and many regional theaters in a variety of ingnue roles. In addition, she teaches voice in Annapolis. She notes that she made her theatrical debut 16 years ago, with the lead role in Annie, directed by Fay Jacobs. Turning the Chambers Studio into Eden will once again be the task of scenic designer Don Gardiner; Technical Direction will be by Bonnie Quesenberry. The Diary of Adam & Eve will be presented at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16 and 1p.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17. It is suggested that reservations be made early, since last year's winter production sold out completely, as did the fall production of Stage Door Canteen.
