Connections September begins the autumn of each year and is a time for change. It's about warm days and cool nights. During this time, we begin to pack our summer clothes away and begin bringing out sweaters and other warm clothes. The air conditioning is turned off and we start thinking about buying firewood as we plan on gathering together to hibernate.
September is also "Be Kind to Editors and Writers Month." First published in 1991, Letters from CAMP Rehoboth, is one of the most widely circulated gay and lesbian-focused publications in the area. With 15 issues a year and more than 100 pages per issue, it reaches more than 10,000 members of the gay and lesbian community and the community-at-large. It is one of the best ways to keep our community connected and informed. Everyone at CAMP Rehoboth appreciates each and every one of our advertisers, contributors and readers. We hope that Letters has had a positive impact on you and, in some way, your lives. If you could be so "kind" as to send us your comments and suggestions, we will continue our mission to improve communications in our community. Founders' Circle Through our community's generosity, we have raised $770,097 in pledges toward the Founders' Circle Capital Campaign's $1,000,000 goal. We have received $460,270 in pledge payments thus far. As you approach the end of the year (and begin to think about those helpful tax deductions), please consider joining our 308 Founders' Circle members and the CAMP Rehoboth team in building a safe home for all. The process is as simple as the following: Choose one of several options to become a member (regular membership; real estate; appreciated stock; or planned giving). Or, give a holiday gift of membership to a family member or friend; or celebrate a special occasion or host a fundraising event that benefits the Capital Campaign. Choose 1 of 8 membership levels and one of several ways to make payment(s) that is best for you. Complete the pledge form below and forward to the CAMP office. Once you join, we will process your membership and add your name or the name of a loved one to the official Founders' Circle records as a Charter Member. Depending on your chosen member level, your name will be on a brick, tile, door or room when we complete the rebuilding of our full-service Community Center. CAMP Rehoboth is a 501(c)(3) organization and contributions are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Remember...giving is receiving.
