I am one of the organizers for the Delaware Democratic Party here in Sussex. We have a headquarters in Lewes. I am local, so I have been asking everyone I know about ideas to get volunteers in to help us.
We need lots of people to help us phone voters, knock on doors, and help supply our headquarters with items for the volunteers.
Although I am handling Western Sussex primarily, it was suggested that we put a small notice in Letters, maybe in the In Brief section, asking for any interested volunteers to call me or Karl, the other organizer here. We need volunteers until the evening of Nov. 2.
Although I know not all of your readers are Democrats, the HRC did endorse Coons’ and Carney’s campaigns.
Thanks so much! Our office number is 302-463-2403. We are here from 9 to 9 every day, 7 days a week.

I was visiting your beautiful community of Rehoboth Beach the weekend of September 3, 2010 and had the pleasure of attending the Sundance Auction on September 4, 2010.
I was extremely impressed with your auctioneer, Mr. Lorne Crawford. His passion, auctioneer talent, and gratitude to the audience were exceptional. I commend you for engaging his professional services and the success he brought to the Sundance Auction.
Furthermore, I commend you for the variety and quality of items auctioned.

Saturday, October 16 from 2-5 p.m. is the last Playtime at the Beach benefitting the Delaware Humane Association for the 2010 Season. The Seafood Shack on Baltimore Avenue is hosting this event. We have had a very successful season with these events. And I would like to thank Sheila and Steph for hosting us and supporting the DHA and everyone who has come out to support us.
Please join us at the “Shack” and bring your four legged friend to enjoy lunch and drinks. I have $1 raffles for some really cool items donated by Gidgets Gadgets and Cocord Pet Store. I also have plenty of DHA items for sale and some nice give-away items as well. Let's make this last event of the season the best.
The weather looks like we should have a nice cool day, so please come out and support the Delaware Humane Association and help them achieve their mission to help animals and their companions in these difficult economic times.
