LETTERS From CAMP Rehoboth |
Speak Out |
At this time, we would like to thank everyone who has supported Positive Light and us in our efforts to help the many members of our community who are actively living with AIDS.
Due to legal complications, namely that we are not set up as a valid 501(c)(3) organization, and lack of a valid tax ID Number, we will not be able to present to you our Tenth Annual Full Moon Party. Attorney John Brady has worked with us to incorporate us as a charity, but as of yet has not been able to set this up. Since our relationship with AIDS Delaware officially ended on December 31, 2002, we can not legally or properly ask our community to support us. We will continue to help and support our community in any way we can. Hopefully, we will be able to continue the tradition in 2004. Thank you again for your support. Randy Marshall and Tommy Gibson Delaware's legislative year will close at the end of this month so our efforts on behalf of HB99 must be stronger and immediate! We encourage you to step up your lobbying of the lawmakers, particularly the representatives. Whether or not you are in his district, we ask that you include in your lobbying contacts Rep. Joseph Booth (R-37, the Lewes-Georgetown area) who is a "soft no," i.e., is subject to becoming HB99-supportive with enough input. His e-address is joseph.booth@state.de.us For lawmakers' contact info go to www.delaware.gov and enter the Government portal. If you wish to use the Project's Hickman-Brown polling data or the newest update of the Project's Spiritual Leaders' Statement, go to www.destonewalldems.org Also, send a letter to the editor of all of Delaware's newspapers. In so doing you will still be lobbying, since the legislators do read the papers, and you will be informing and motivating Delaware citizens throughout the state. Corey and Doug Marshall-Steele |
