LETTERS From CAMP Rehoboth |
SPEAK Out |
On behalf of the Board of Directors, Staff, and homeless Animals of the Delaware Humane Association, I would like to thank CAMP Rehoboth and the Rehoboth community for supporting the third annual Walk for the Animals at the Beach on April 29.
More than 200 people and their dogs enjoyed picture perfect spring weather as they completed the two mile "walk through the wind" on the Rehoboth boardwalk. We really appreciate the efforts of the CAMP Rehoboth staff to house our Yappy Hour in the courtyard. Your dog Pete was a terrific host! Thanks also to Joe Maggio and Bill Shields for hosting our Pre-Walk Happy Hour on Friday night. A warm atmosphere, great food and drinks, and a huge crowd made for a wonderful place to drum-up interest in the Walk! The event surpassed its fundraising goal of $20,000, enabling DHA to offer two free spay/neuter days for the residents of Rehoboth. Special thanks to all our community partners for the day, including CAMP Rehoboth, Aqua Grill, Ben-Dom Printing Co., City of Rehoboth, Browseabout Books, Home Away From Home Boarding & Grooming Kennel, WBOC TV 16, and several prize sponsors. Patrick J. Carroll Director of Development Thanks to the staff of CAMP Rehoboth for being a great resource. I called recently needing some guidance for finding a doctor and dentist in the Rehoboth area and you were very helpful. It's nice to know you're here.
