Rehoboth's Gay Opera Group The Gay Rehoboth Opera Group will view Verdi's Falstaff on Monday, November 5. A comic opera about the overly amorous Falstaff and the two women who plot to outdo him, it stars the noted Welsh singer Bryn Terfel as Falstaff. The screening will be at 7 p.m. at the The Landing Clubhouse. The Gay Rehoboth Opera Group meets the first Monday of each month from October through May. For more information, contact Evan Bush 302-933-0944 or Bill Lyttle 302-226-0248. CAMP Rehoboth's AIDS Walk Team A special thank you goes out to CAMP Rehoboth's AIDS Walk Team, Team G.O.O.F.Y. (Gays On Our Feet Y'all). The team walked 2 miles through Georgetown on October 7th to raise money for HIV/AIDS Services in Sussex County. The team was excited to collect over $1,300 in pledges that will go towards HIV/AIDS services in Delware's Sussex County. G.O.O.F.Y. Team members included, Barbara Ralph, Robert Nagy, Jen Rubenstein, Gene Dvornick, Salvatore Seeley, and Martin Thaler. Meet Jack Markell at the Blue Moon State Treasurer Jack Markell will be honored at a campaign event and grassroots fundraiser at the Blue Moon Restaurant, 35 Baltimore Ave. in Rehoboth Beach, on Sunday, October 21 from 4:30-6 p.m. A contribution of $35 is suggested. According to Jack Markell, "My campaign centers around the ideas that we can expect more from our public leaders and that state government can do more for Delawareans. I have been outspoken in favor of renewable energy, anti-discrimination legislation and improving the state's health care system, and I will continue to fight for the issues that matter to Delawareans in the governor's office." Markell continued, "It's really exciting when a group of people come together around this vision and work to make change happen. Sussex Tech Design Student Helps CAMP Chase Schirmer, a senior at Sussex Technical High School has chosen to work with CAMP Rehoboth for his senior design project. At CAMP Rehoboth And Around Town In preparation for construction, David Smith and crew of Phoenix Landscaping worked hard to remove the Japanese maple trees from the CAMP Courtyard, as Rehoboth Beach Commissioner Stan Mills made repairs to the sidewalk in front of the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center.
