This seasons recitals will highlight the piano music of Franz Schubert, who is celebrating his bicentennial this year. Works by Mendelssohn and Brahms will be featured, commemorating the 150th and 100th anniversaries of the deaths of these composers. This years world premiere will be a piece composed especially for the festival by Ron Warren, a long-time resident of the Delmarva region. Also featured will be works by Beethoven, Debussy, Ravel, Prokofiev, Schonberg and Philip Antony Corri.
The four pianists met as students at The Julliard School during the 80s, and since have each enjoyed active careers as pianists and teachers throughout the country. Originally attracted to Rehoboth Beach because of its proximity to their homes at the time, they now live in such diverse locations as New York, Chicago, Nebraska and Seattle. They anticipate continuing to return each summer to this lively energetic town to share their eclectic pianistic interests, reuniting with each other and the warm friendly audience which the festival has drawn over the years.

The schedule follows: Recital 1- Friday, August 1, 8 p.m.; Recital 2 - Sunday, August 3, 8 p.m.; Performance Workshop - Monday, August 4, 5 p.m.; Recital 3 - Tuesday, August 5, 8 p.m. Tickets: $10, $25 for subscription pass.
