LETTERS From CAMP Rehoboth |
Late Rehoboth Jazz Legend Remembered |
In memory of jazz legend, the late Lawrence "Scotty" Scott, a CD has been released. This Time for Scotty is a live recording of a September 12 benefit, featuring the musicians colleagues in performance with their friend.
Lawrence Scott died in November, after performing in the Cape Region for over 54 years. Proceeds from the sale of the CDs will benefit the musicians widow, Connie Scott, pay for medical and funeral costs and add a donation to the Lawrence "Scotty" Scott Foundation which helps young musicians learn the art form of jazz. The CD is available locally at Kemp Mill Music, Air Traffic the Kite Store, Kupchicks Restaurant, Nassau Valley Vineyards and Winery, Potpourri Restaurant, Sydneys Jazz and Blues Restaurant, and Woodies at The Dinner Bell. |
