And The Winner Is... |
There are only two sure winners for this years Academy Awards presentation: Titanic and the Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival! With 14 nominations, Titanic is sure to grab a statuette, and with a fabulous fund raiser, Rehoboths first major independent film festival will be well on its way to a reality! Join festival organizers on Monday, March 23, when Hollywood comes to Rehoboth at Dogfish Head Brewings and Eats, 320 Rehoboth Avenue, Rehoboth Beach. Doors will open at 7 p.m. It will be an evening of hors doeuvres, beverages, a Chinese auction with dozens of surprises, and lots of Hollywood-style hype. Enter the Pick the Winners contest by 8 p.m. for fabulous prizes! Of course, there will also be 2 huge-screen TV monitors to catch all the Oscar action. Tickets, which are $15, are available at the door or beforehand at Dogfish Head Brewings and Eats, Dogfish Head Craft Brewery (Lewes) or Tempest Fugit (Rehoboth). All proceeds will benefit production of the inaugural Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival, slated to be held at the 6 theaters of the Rehoboth Mall Cinema and other locations in Rehoboth, from November 12-15. It will feature nearly 100 films and film maker events. The festival is a production of the Rehoboth Beach Film Society, which was formed in November 1997 with the purpose of producing an independent film festival for the Cape Region. |
