Baby, It's Cold Outside!
We can't count on the weather these dayswe're either donning our shorts or a parkabut you can count on a marvelous variety of events around our area. It's still the middle of winter and I've spent hours trying to whittle down the list of events occurring around the area so that I could include everyone in the column! I could be in real trouble by July... Gallery 50 (50-A Wilmington Avenue in Rehoboth Beach; 302-227-2050; www.50contemporaryart.com) continues their show: Director's Cut, Seventeen Works by Seventeen Artists, and begins their Winter Film Series with Annie Hall; Saturday February 14th at 8 p.m., with a reception starting at 7 p.m. Admission is free. Mosaic Collective of Galleries (www.MosaicRehoboth.com), of which most galleries listed in this column are members, hosts their Second Saturday event from 2-5 p.m. on February 14. Drop into the galleries before that romantic dinner and buy something to commemorate the occasion. Peninsula Gallery (520 E. Savannah Rd in Lewes; 302-645-0551; www.peninsula-gallery.com) Featuring a Howard Schroeder retrospective organized by the Lewes historical Society. The show features work from public and private collections spanning more than 50 years of Mr. Schroeder's career, and will remain on view until March 3rd.
