Do you feel as I do that the cultural/spiritual landscape of Rehoboth would be enhanced by the presence of a new-age Center on Baltimore Avenue? Picture a Center that sells books from the major spiritual traditions, as well as self-help books; books on integrative medicine/holistic health; books on 12-step recovery; books on the cutting edge concepts about the nature of reality, energy fields, the interconnectedness of matter, consciousness, quantum physics, books about nature and books about animals.
More than just a great bookstore, the Center should be a resource for people who enjoy plumbing the depths of the deeper mysteries; people who want to experience more of the magical and mystical, and less of the mundane; or who are seeking a greater connectedness to a larger pattern of events and meaning.
The Center would offer a people-friendly space for a variety of seminars and trainings, such as weekly discussions of a spiritual book; lectures by spiritual pioneers or leaders in the field of integrative medicine; or the airing of videos on visionaries, such as Joseph Campbell.
In the winter there might be day-long or week-long programs on everything from meditation to mindfulness to the chakra energy system. The Center would support and enhance the quest for spiritual consciousness and transformation.
While it would be gay-friendly and located on Baltimore Ave. (of course), it would alsoin the "room for all" philosophy espoused by CAMP Rehobothwelcome everyone who might be searching.
Would you like to see a Center such as this open in our community? Would you be interested in helping it get started? Do you have ideas, resources, or support to offer? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, you are invited to call (302) 226-3050, and give me your opinions and ideas.
Sincerely,
Mary Fleetwood
