Join TNC staff and volunteers for a fun paddle on the Broadkill River from Milton to The Nature Conservancy's McCabe Preserve.

Pride Paddle on the Broadkill River with The Nature Conservancy

The Nature Conservancy (TNC) invites friends of CAMP Rehoboth and our local LGBTQIA+ community members to join us for a fun and relaxing paddle down the beautiful Broadkill River. You'll need to bring your own canoe, kayak or other non-motorized personal watercraft as well as paddles and personal floation safety devices to the launch spot at Milton Memorial Park in downtown Milton, DE. TNC staff and volunteers will guide this paddle, pointing out birds, flowers and other wildlife along the way to TNC's Edward H. McCabe Preserve. Learn more at www.nature.org/mccabe

The group will come ashore at the floating dock at the preserve where you can rest or enjoy a short, guided hike on a portion of the trails at the preserve. The group will then paddle back to Milton. The paddle from Milton to McCabe is just over a mile and takes approxamtely 45/60 minutes of paddling in each direction, depending on the wind and the tide. The estimated total length of the trip from start to finish is three hours (with up to two hours of paddling).

This event is a great opportunity to connect with nature, make new friends, and show your pride in the LGBTQ+ community. Don't miss out on this celebrate of diversity and the great outdoors this Pride Month!
