CAMP Rehoboth & Rehoboth Art League Present: Screen Painting

Join us for a fun morning making a Painted Screen. Painted screens are an authentic urban folk art created in Baltimore row house neighborhoods in 1913.  Painted door screens provided an unobstructed view of the street to the row house owner, while the colorful images stopped people on the sidewalk from seeing in. Students will learn about tools and techniques necessary to successfully paint on a framed high quality screen.  Each person will leave with a completed painting.

The class will be held at the Rehoboth Art League, 12 Dodds Lane, Rehoboth Beach from 10 am - 1 pm. The cost for the workshop is $25 per person (a discounted rate to CAMP Rehobooth 55+ participants) and includes instruction and materials. The class will be limited to 15 participants. SIGN UP HERE!

Provided in conjunction with the Rehoboth Art League, this workshop is part of CAMP Rehoboth’s ongoing efforts to provide fun, creative and rewarding activities for the population we serve. It is supported in part by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware arts events on www.DelawareScene.com.
