CAMP Rehoboth Community Center Founder's Circle Update |
by Andrea Andrus |
We at CAMP Rehoboth, along with our dedicated supporters and volunteers, have worked diligently over the years to respond to the specific needs voiced by our community. The result has been the development of CAMPsafe, the Women's Project, and a number of health-related programs and social events. Above all, an overwhelming number of CAMP supporters voiced the need for a full-service Community Center that will be the focal point for connecting people, activities, and resources.
CAMP Rehoboth and the Community Center Project Advisory Committee responded by establishing an ambitious, five-year Founder's Circle Capital Campaign to raise $1,000,000. Since beginning the campaign in mid-2001, we have raised over $305,000 in pledges which is an incredible response! Those pledges came from individuals who believe in our vision and who believe that we will become better connected with each other and with the community at large through a full-service Community Center. To accomplish our vision, we need to meet our Capital Campaign goal of $1,000,000. The amount raised thus far has enabled us to purchase the property where CAMP Rehoboth is located. Reaching our goal and, hopefully exceeding it, will allow us to renovate our current location to provide adequate room for expansion of existing programs; the creation of an information and referral center; the creation of a lending library/resource center; the establishment of a gay and lesbian youth group; more health, education, and wellness programs to meet growing demand; and additional meeting rooms and office space to accommodate the community's need and CAMP Rehoboth's growth. So please share in our vision of a community center that is the heart of the community! Join our Founder's Circle today by making a tax-deductible membership pledge. CAMP Rehoboth is a 501(c)(3) organization and contributions are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. In addition, there are many benefits to membership that are described in the Community Center brochure that is available at the CAMP office. Simply fill out the pledge form that is shown at the end of this article and mail it to CAMP Rehoboth. We'll do the rest. As the holiday season approaches, please consider giving a gift of a Founder's Circle membership to family members or friends. It's a wonderful gift to them and to the community. Have a peaceful and safe holiday season! CAMP Rehoboth is a 501(c)(3) organization and contributions are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Just print out and complete the form (that is available in PDF format HERE) and become a member of the Founder's Circle Capital Campaign. Encourage your friends and family to do the same.
