Gallery 50 Has Something for Everyone |
Currently on display is the show Boardwalk: the abstracts of Susan Finsen.
Finsen is known for her "circling" technique. Her bold colors and textural abstracts take us to the Rehoboth boardwalk in August, which is the inspiration of the work. The show is on display until September 14th. On Friday, August 31st at 7 p.m., a poetry reading by Guillermo Silveira will introduce five new timeless poems. On Sunday, September 2nd, at 6 p.m. the gallery will host Fay Jacobs with a reception and a book reading and signing of her recently released book Fried and TrueTales from Rehoboth Beach. It will be a sure way to catch a laugh between all of the events of the Sundance weekend. On Saturday September 8th, there will be an artist's reception for artist Joe Cameron. Mr. Cameron taught photography at the Corcoran School of art for over thirty years. He has shown at the Corcoran museum of art and at the Katherine Ewing gallery in Washington, DC. His work is also in the collection of the Smithsonian. The show is called Fugitive Gray, and will feature his work in black and white photography. |
