LETTERS From CAMP Rehoboth |
Dane Tilghman at Philip Morton Gallery |
by Bill Sievert |
With works appearing in Sports Illustrated and many other publications, being featured on TV sitcoms The Cosby Show and Roseanne, and collected by such notaries as Bill Cosby, and Nelson Mandela, it's no wonder Dane Tilghman has his hands full these days. This is Dane's second visit to the Philip Morton Gallery, after an incredibly successful show in June 2007. "We sold 27 of Dane's paintings from his last show, half of which were the weekend of his opening," stated Eric Davison, Director of the gallery. "Customers were constantly asking when we'd have him back. What better time than Jazz Fest?" Dane already has licensing deals, but three of his originals at the gallery can soon be seen all over the country in stores such as Bed, Bath and Beyond and Target, as they've been commissioned for reproductions. The exhibit runs through October 26, 2007, with an opening reception on Friday, October 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. The Philip Morton Gallery is located at 47 Baltimore Ave. in Rehoboth.
