For our next community service project, CAMP Rehoboth’s Volunteer on Vacation will extend its reach to Sussex County. We will be partnering with A Brush With Kindness, an arm of Habitat for Humanity, to build a ramp for a Bridgeville, DE family in need.
The date for this project is Saturday, May 26. We will meet at 7:15 a.m. and carpool to the site in Bridgeville. The day will run until approximately 3 p.m.
If you have already signed up, thank you! If you are interested, please be sure to sign up today by emailing Barb Antlitz, and me. For this project, we are limited to ten people and we already have many of the slots filled. Barb is coordinating this project and once she knows you are interested, she will let you know if you are confirmed and provide additional details.
Thanks so much for volunteering with CAMP Rehoboth’s Volunteer on Vacation. We hope to see you as we reach out to Sussex County.

Recently we initiated a conversation with the Delaware Department of Veterans Affairs (DDVA) regarding the rights of veterans with civil union partners. We are very pleased to advise you that the DDVA now recognizes civil unions. Such recognition gives veterans with civil union partners the right to be buried or entombed together.
When applying for burial/entombment benefits, the veteran partner will have to submit written proof of civil union together with honorable discharge papers. Partners may choose the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in New Castle or Sussex County. Civil union partners will be required to pay the same fees as married persons.
In accordance with Delaware Division of Public Health, terms in the Delaware Code such as spouse, dependent, next of kin, and other terms denoting a spousal relationship, shall apply to parties in a civil union.
