CAMP REHOBOTH FOLLIES update. Several groups have signed up to strut their stuff on the Follies stage come July 27, including Neel Lattimore and Wes Comb's 113 Columbia Crew, Jeff Wilson and Dennis Konzelman's Boys of 1015 Fifth, and Jon Kaplan and Cliff Lassahn's Sexy Sussex Swingers. The Cheap Gas Gals at WAWA are also rumored to be putting an act together. Time will allow only 10 groups to perform, so get your application in before all the spaces are filled up. Applications can be downloaded from www.CampRehoboth.com. In other Follies news, Maggie Ottato has been named Follies Coordinator. Maggie's many community roles include Board Member of CAMP Rehoboth, Community Center Planning Committee and Women's Project and former Executive Director of SCAC. Maggie's enthusiasm and organizational skills will help make the Follies this summer's signature event. Joining the Follies' growing list of sponsors are the Blue Moon and Four Square Rum. Artist/curator, Gary Fisher, has also donated one of his masterpieces to the Auction. If you know a Videographer willing to tape the event please contact Maggie Ottato at Maggii46@yahoo.com or call CAMP Rehoboth at 302-227-5620. HENLOPEN THEATER PROJECT SPRING GALA. This May 11th join the Henlopen Theater Project for its Spring Gala featuring cabaret star Klea Blackhurst in Everything the Traffic Will Allow: The Songs and Sass of Ethel Merman. Ms. Blackhurst just finished a sold-out run in New York, and appeared on the Rosie O'Donnell Show. She was recently named one of the top five new cabaret stars by OUT Magazine. For tickets and more information, call 302-226-4103. If you would like a subscription to the Henlopen Theater Project's 2002 season (which guarantees you 1 ticket to each of the three productions), contact the Theater office at 302-226-4103. Brochures available. Subscriptions are $75.00. BUFF BODY WITH BLUE MOON BARTENDER BRAD. Looking to tone up those abs and beef up those buns before summer? Drop by the Blue Moon and talk with bartender Brad who is now available for personal training at Gold's Gym. His motto is: "Cute, Straight, Reasonable Rate." If that's not a good enough reason to get into the gym, what is? MATTRESSES AT MIDWAY. Rehoboth's own Martina Russellina is the new Mattress Queena in town. She's working at Mattress & More Custom Bedding located in the Midway Shopping Center next to Sears. If you need bedding for your summer rentals or your home, contact Russell today at 302-644-0992. Delivery is available throughout the east coast. NEXT ISSUE: THE HELPFUL HOUSEMOTHER Ah, the Rehoboth Housemother. She (although really a "he") is arguably the most under appreciated person in all of Rehoboth. Therefore, this new portion of NEWS & NOTES will be dedicated solely in her honor. NEWS & NOTES can be e-mailed to you online! Simply send an e-mail to Tminnuto@msn.com and write "ADD ME" in the subject line. Also, if you have news or information you would like to see in the next issue, send it to TMinnuto@msn.com. NEWS & NOTES reserves the right to edit all submissions. |
