LETTERS From CAMP Rehoboth |
SPEAK Out |
Michael Buck was smiling down (after shopping, of course)...I would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support for Michael Buck and I during the past year. We are truly blessed with so many wonderful friends and family members.
The "Celebration of Michael's Life" at the Blue Moon was exactly what Michael expressed that he wanted after his death. I know that he was looking down and smiling on us as he sipped his "Michael Rita" as we toasted him. There are so many people to thank, that it would not be possible to name everyone in this letter...but you know who you are! Michael was an amazing person that touched so many of our hearts and you all reciprocated with your love for Michael when he needed it the most. Words cannot express the overwhelming feelings and warmth I have in my heart and soul for all that was done on Michael's behalf. I could not have done it without all the support and love. As I said to Michael every night, "Good night, I love you and sweet dreams." Daniel Ochsenreither We would like to thank all of you who helped make the 6th Annual CAMP Rehoboth Women's Weekend a resounding success. To Kathy Weir, Sharon Messina, Beth Fitton, Sal Seeley, Murray Archibald, Steve Elkins and all the superb volunteers at CAMP Rehoboth who gave us directions, support, answered all those phones, sold all those tickets, made all those copies, stuffed all those bags, set up, tore down and took care of all the little details to make this Women's Weekend happen, we thank you! To Barbara Thompson and Evie Simmons who courageously coordinated the sold out golf outing for us at Marsh Island Golf Club, we thank you! To Jane Blue who put together an excellent sold out jazz brunch at Cloud 9, we thank you! To ELBoW who produced the Friday and Saturday evening entertainment of Vickie Shaw and Holly Near, we thank you! And last, but certainly not least, to all the sponsors, vendors, and participants who took part in the weekend events and raised money for CAMP Rehoboth...the women who were enriched by the experience thank you, the Rehoboth Beach community thanks you, and we thank you! Your support of this worthwhile weekend to provide networking opportunities as well as financial, health, and legal education for women in the mid-Atlantic area is greatly appreciated. Barb Fishel & Marti Austin Co-Chairs 2006 CAMP Rehoboth Women's Weekend Just wanted to tell you that I LOVE to read Fay Jacobs' columns. I bought her book in a small bookstore in Ruddertowne two years ago and laughed until my stomach hurt. I read all of her articles on your web site and was wondering if there are plans for another book? If so, please let me know and I'll keep an eye out for it...she's the best!
