Only Two Weeks Left!
With July 31st just around the corner, the first-ever “Summer CAMP, some are not! Beach House Challenge” is coming to a close. With over $7000 raised to date, between new CAMP Rehoboth memberships and fundraising dollars, nearly 200 residents of the 15 competing houses continue to battle it out to see who will adorn the cover of the August 13th issue of Letters.
6 Futcher Drive has raised the bar in a big way with the rousing success of its July 3rd Pool Party fundraiser. With 400+ of their closest friends, great music and lots of libations, the party raised over $3,200, with the first $500 coming from the house members themselves. All of the CAMP family expresses sincere appreciation for their efforts and support.
In addition to fundraising dollars, members have also raised house points by attending the July 4, Love 4 All dance, as well as several volunteer events. Specifically, over 50 members attended Love and eight have volunteered in some other capacity.
At press time, 12 members have committed to spending Saturday, July 17th as a “Community Volunteer Day” working with Habitat for Humanity in Georgetown, DE. We’ll be assisting with the renovations of a foreclosed home being prepared for a local family in need. Thanks ahead to those members as well.
A final word to the houses, help us reach our fundraising goal of 50 new members and $10,000! We’re not far off. Just one or two new members from each house would go a long way in getting us there.
More importantly, your efforts are also making a difference in allowing CAMP Rehoboth to continue its work in an age where fundraising challenges have never been greater. Thank you so much!
