Leslie Sinclair Brings Light in CAMP Show
Photographer Leslie Sinclair, opens a new show in the CAMP Rehoboth Gallery on July 5 from 4-6 p.m. Leslie says, “The exhibit brings light to darkness, to create a mood, reveal a scene or highlight color and texture. Everyday objects become something more.” The exhibit will be on display at CAMP Rehoboth for the month of July. A second reception will be held July 12, 6-9 p.m. in conjunction with Art Walk.
CAMP Supporter Wins 2014 Prize
Long-time CAMP Rehoboth supporter Ron Childress has been announced as the winner of the 2014 PEN/Bellwether Prize for Socially Engaged Fiction for his manuscript And West Is West. Childress will receive $25,000 and a publishing contract with Algonquin Books. The Bellwether Prize was established in 2000 by Barbara Kingsolver and is funded entirely by her to promote fiction that addresses issues of social justice.
Frank Schaefer at Epworth–Reinstated!
On June 16, the Rehoboth Beach community listened to the story of the Rev. Frank Schaefer who lost his credentials as a United Methodist Pastor for officiating at the wedding of his son to another man. A week after speaking at Rehoboth’s Epworth Methodist Church, Rev.
