If the chilly weather and upcoming holiday shopping frenzy is making you completely crazy, theres a terrific refuge on First Street in RehobothPlumb Loco.
This friendly restaurant and bar is open all winter long, with a delightful menu offering the fabulous Mexican entrees from Baltimore Avenues Dos Locos (now closed), plus great comfort food like New England Clam chowder, burgers and hot wings.
Along with their trademark Margaritas, Plumb Loco is a cozy place for a football Sunday tailgate partythey have $1 Bloody Marys, $1baskets of wings and fries, and longneck Bud specials. All this takes place at the bar (a nice long bar with plenty of stools and good views of your favorite game on the tube) from 1-7 p.m. on Sundays.
Monday is burger night (plus 50 cent hot dogs during Monday night football games), Tuesday its half price wings, Wednesday is half price fajitas and burritos (try the red and green Christmas sauce, its a doozy!)I cant think of a better way to spend Wednesday night than with a Plumb Loco burrito, watching Ellen. On some Wednesdays the popular Red Letter Day performs.
Need a lift on Thursday night? Try dinner and a movie. The film starts at 8 (dont be late) and you get free popcorn, too.
All in all, you can go plumb crazy with exceptional Mexican entrees (lots of wonderful chicken dishes, quesadillas with seafood, and more) and a casual atmosphere thats perfect for a cold winters night.
I intend to make it my Friday night stop on my way into town each weekend, andif I can sneak away during the weekIll meet you for movie night at Plumb Loco!
