When I was in Lewes last weekend, I noted in the latest issue of LETTERS that your new web site was listed as a "Hot Site," so I thought I would check it out. It is, indeed, very well done.
The purpose for this e-mail is to correct one item in your Beaches section which might help some of your readers avoid a problem. In the description of the Gordons Pond beach at Cape Henlopen State Park, you mentioned that dogs are allowed in the park on a leash. While this is generally true, state law prohibits dogs on any swimming beach during the swimming season.
Details of this regulation and lots of other good information on our State Parks can be found on our web site at "www.dnrec.state.de.us/parks". You might want to clarify this point so that your readers visits to the Cape are not marred by a park-rules violation.
Congratulations on an excellent web site and thanks for supporting and promoting Delaware State Parks.
Sincerely,
Chazz (Charles) Salkin, Director
Delaware Div. of Parks and Recreation
Dear CAMP Rehoboth,
Hi guys! I finally got around to visiting your website after visiting Rehoboth Beach for the first time about two weeks ago and came across your publication. Well, both are superb, great efforts and a great resource for the local and global community. Thanks for your time and effort. I will be returning to RB for the July 4th weekend and look very forward to it.
I run a large weather website here (Charlottesville, VA) that Prodigy uses as a weather starting point for its users and was wondering if you would like to perhaps link to it and I could set up a special "Rehoboth Beach Weather" page with weather links, etc. I ask nothing in return other than a link to my site. My way of adding another item of value to your great site.
Keep up the good work.
Regards,
Kevin Levey
