While many similar stores in downtown areas were finding it impossible to stay competitive, Carltons thrived. The reason for their success has been their ability to stay on the cutting edge as styles continue to evolve. Through-out the year, Carltons customers will find the seasons latest fashions, from fine sportswear by Tommy Bahama to stunning silk sports coats by Palo Savino. In addition to exciting clothing products, customers are offered personal full-service shopping, special orders, and an in-house tailoring shopunheard of in most other storesall of which have added up to a winning combination.
Always searching for new avenues of community involvement, Carltons latest is the promotion of local artists whose artwork is shown and offered for sale throughout the store. Edward Duvall, a resident of Lewes and a Carltons employee, is the most recent artist to exhibit his work in the store. In addition to his fine art, Edward creates unique and intriguing window and interior clothing displays at Carltons.
As summer reaches its peak this July 4th, the crew at Carltons is already on the lookout for exciting fashions for the fall and winter season. Carltons Marketing Manager Stuart Vining says, "While were hard at work, we hope you are hard at play."
Carltons, 31 Rehoboth Avenue, is open daily from 9:30 a.m. And remember, all play and no shopping tends to make one dull.
