Rehoboth Beach Loop Close To Raising $10,000. |
The Rehoboth Beach Loop, a benefit held October 6, raised nearly $10,000, which was donated to the September 11th Fund to provide assistance relief. The fund is ad-ministered by the United Way and NYC Community Trust. Seventy area businesses participated in the October 6th event, each donating a portion of the day's proceeds, as well as having a donation box prominently displayed at their establishment. Various sites had raffle drawings and auctions. The Delaware River and Bay Authority provided their Ferry trolleys to transport people to the participating businesses. The fundraiser was organized by the Blue Moon, Cloud 9 and Shore Haus. Rob Dick of the Blue Moon would like to give special thanks to the following people who worked incredibly hard to pull the benefit together: Steve at Shore Haus, Frank at Iguana Grill, Jason, Houston and Terry at Double L, Rehoboth Beach Commissioner Patti Shreeve, and Eric, Scott, Rich, Michael, Sue, Thom and Brian at the Blue Moon.
