Outreach and Outdoor Events What better way to build a sense of community than to develop relationships with organizations that promote women's health and support! The CAMP Rehoboth Women's Project is working with Kathleen DeBold, Executive Director, and Meghan Duffy, Development Director, for the Mautner Project in Washington, DC, to plan a special event here at the CAMP office and courtyard this summer. We want the women in our community to learn more about the Mautner Project and its many and inspirational programs that have provided enormous support to women in times of crisis. It promises to be a great event for a great cause. Stay tuned for date and time! Another event being planned for the summer or early fall at the CAMP office and courtyard will be a women's art fair. Our goal is to promote women artists, especially lesbians, in our community. We want to have a very different and creative event so we welcome any ideas that you may have. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Women's Project so that we may develop other community and outreach programs. We are working on the Women's Project volunteer e-mail group so that we may better and more timely communicate with all of you who have expressed interest in volunteering with us by attending our last Volunteer Party or by completing a volunteer sign-up form. We were able to obtain a number of e-mail addresses from those sources. If you did not provide your e-mail address and wish to be included in the e-mail group, send your address to andrea@camprehoboth.com as soon as possible. For those of you who are interested but are not on any of our lists at this time, please contact us and you will be added to the group. If you are interested in working on the Mautner Project event or the women's art fair, please call or e-mail Andrea at the CAMP office. Yes, there is a golf league update! Everyone is having a wonderful time. Golfers meet at the Marsh Island Golf Club clubhouse at 3:15 p.m. each Wednesday and tee off at 3:30 p.m. The golf course is extending the league's rate to those of you who cannot make it by the tee-off time as long as you identify yourselves as part of the CAMP Rehoboth Women's Project Golf League. Norma Clark, league member and golfer extraordinaire, has volunteered to give everyone who plays a "tip of the week." She is also interested in giving group lessons at a discounted rate for league members. So, join today and learn new tips about a great sport! |
