Delaware's State Parks Are Great Places to Party
Are you planning a party? Or maybe a conference or meeting for work? Well, Delaware State Parks is here to help! Delaware State Parks facilities can host any meeting or conference you may be planning, from a small team-building retreat at a pavilion in a park like Cape Henlopen or Killens Pond State Park, to a formal luncheon at a Dupont mansion like Bellevue Hall, or anything in between. You have your choice of modern meeting rooms, rustic cabins, beach cottages, or historic buildings. We have small cottage type homes like Judge Morris House at White Clay Creek State Park, or beach cottages on the inlet at Indian River in Delaware Seashore State Park. You can choose one of the largest meeting spaces in the state for conferences, or new this year, one of the first ecologically-friendly state-of-the-art buildings ever built in Delaware. Both in New Castle County, the largest is the Figure 8 Barn at Bellevue State Park, and it's perfect for casual meetings, class reunions, or a backyard barbeque where you need a REALLY big backyard! And sometime this year we'll open the Blue Ball Barn on 202 in Wilmington, demonstrating how meetings, banquets, and events can be held in a very elegant setting and still be friendly to the environment. Perhaps you read in the paper about Deerfield Country Club and Golf Course being re-opened as a public golf course and a state park? The "D" at Deerfield is a testament to elegance and perfect for more formal meetings. Delaware State Parks facilities can accommodate any number of people from 8-800. Bring your own caterer, or let Delaware State Parks provide one from an extensive list of approved caterers. If you need any help along the way, one of our meeting planners will happily assist you. Visit us at www.destateparks.com or call 302-739-9221 to start planning a meeting or event at a State Park!
