Michael McFaul
Michael T. McFaul, age 58, of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away peacefully at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, DE, on Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Mr. McFaul was born February 3, 1951 in Jersey City, NJ, son of the late Michael J. McFaul and Mildred (Higgins) McFaul.
Mr. McFaul moved to Rehoboth Beach full time three years ago. He was formerly of New York City and annually traveled to Rehoboth since 1985. In the early 80s he was Chief of Staff for the Jersey City Mayor’s Office under Gerald McCann; shortly thereafter he started a career with the City New York, Department of Investigation, where he worked until 2003. Mr. McFaul had a great sense of humor and was well liked by his co-workers. He was known for his passion for politics and he was an avid supporter of the Democratic Party. He will be missed by all who knew him and remembered for the gentleman that he was.
Mr. McFaul is survived by his sister, Regina (McFaul) Ward and her husband Bob of Toms River, NJ; two nephews: Kenneth and Roger Ward; and five nieces: Gabrielle, Jacqueline, Erin, Avery, and Scarlett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his partner of 28 years, Kevin Eichler.
All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes, DE.

John McGill
John S. McGill, 62 of Rehoboth Beach, formerly of Wilmington Delaware passed away peacefully on Monday, December 14, 2009, at his residence. Born Wednesday, April 30, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Helen (Boyko) McGill of Rehoboth Beach and the late William C. McGill.
John was an excellent school teacher; he was unselfish and attentive to the needs of his students. He always went the extra mile with each and every student. He began his teaching career in Chester, PA, moved to Latrobe, PA and then to Newark, DE where he taught for 28 years at Newark High School, retiring 2002. After retirement, he moved to the beach. He was a member of St. Edmond’s Roman Catholic Church, was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, bicycling, and entertaining his family and friends at his home.
John is survived by his partner of 26 years, Drenning E. Sweigart of Rehoboth Beach; a son, John M. McGill USMC and his wife Dawn M. of Dover, DE; a daughter, Mary Elena McGill of North East, MD; two brothers: Hugh McGill and his wife Susan of Tempe, AZ and Stephen McGill and his wife Claire of Broomall, PA; a granddaughter, Gabrielle McGill of Dover and a grandson Leon Lochlan Smith of North East, MD; sister-in-law Nancy McGill of Lemoyne, PA; a former wife, Rosella C. McGill of Newark, DE; and eight nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, John was predeceased by a brother, William McGill and a sister, Mary Elena McGill.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on December 19, 2009 at St. Edmond’s Catholic Church in Rehoboth Beach, with internment at Epworth Methodist Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes, Delaware.

Thomas Jackson Poston
Tom Poston, 58, died Monday November 30, 2009, in Florence, SC. He was born, March 1, 1951 in Florence, SC, to the late Benjamin Stafford and Mary Margaret Stegall Poston.
A graduate of McClenaghan High School and Newberry College, Tom also received his Masters Degree in Urban Planning from Georgia State University. He was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.
After living in Rehoboth Beach for several years, Tom moved to Florence, SC in 2000 to be near his family. He was a retail sales associate for Target Stores.
Surviving are: brothers, William S. “Billy” Poston and Ronald B. Poston both of Florence and a sister, Kay M. Poston of Indianapolis, IN.
A graveside service for Tom was held on Wednesday December 2, 2009 in Mt. Hope Cemetery conducted by Rev. Mark Riggs.
