A Few of My Favorite Things
Hello fabulous readers! As this is the last issue of Letters for 2014, I want to say happy holidays and happiest of New Year’s to each and every one of you. I hope 2015 brings you all good things!
Tickets are now on sale for the Starburst Gayla, the women’s premier New Year’s Eve celebration benefitting the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center and the Cancer Support Community Delaware. This fun filled evening features a live dinner performance by Cathy Gorman followed by delicious dance music by DJ Nan. Every year before I moved to the beach in 2006, my honey and I would drive from DC to join hundreds of women on the dance floor at the Gayla—it’s awesome!
Other holiday events include Rehoboth’s Sing-Along and Tree Lighting (Nov 28), the 5th Annual Rehoboth Art League Holiday Open House (Dec 6), the 6th Annual Cookie Walk at Epworth (Dec 6), and the Merchants’ Attic at the Convention Center, the state’s largest indoor garage sale (Jan 3).
In Lewes, Coastal Concerts presents the Prism Saxophone Quartet (Nov 22), the MERR Finraiser Auction (Nov 22), the Christmas Homes Tour (Dec 6), the Lewes in Bloom Christmas Market (Dec 6), the 83rd Annual Christmas Parade (Dec 6), and the Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra Holiday Joy Concert (Dec 6).
Take a drive and check out the 54th Annual Selbyville Christmas Parade (Dec 5) and the Milton Holly Festival and Holiday House Tour (Dec 13).
We have two new stores at Tanger Midway—Victoria’s Secret and PINK, which is a Victoria’s Secret brand. And two new businesses in Milton: the WineKnot, a nautical and wine-inspired gift shop, and Nest Spa & Boutique.
Now, (with huge apologies to Rodgers and Hammerstein), a few of my favorite things.
