Courtyard Crime: Your Table Isn't Ready |
Sometime during the night of March 24, crime struck the CAMP courtyard, 39 Baltimore Avenue, as an unknown perpetrator stole a lime green table and two chairs from Loris Oy Vey Caf. Just last year, courtyard business owners repainted the rainbow fence, and Lori bought 4 new tables for her fabulous outdoor eatery known for its fresh overstuffed sandwiches and award winning desserts. The tables were painted and added to the rainbow colored tables already in the courtyard.
"When I moved here from DC, I was really looking forward to a small town atmosphere and not worrying about crime," said Lori, standing in the empty space where the table once stood overlooking busy Baltimore Avenue. "When I opened the store that morning, I expected to find a note on my door saying someone had borrowed it, but that wasnt the case. I just cant believe someone stole my table!" The table was last seen by CAMP Director Steve Elkins at approximately 8:15 p.m. on March 24. The next morning, it was gone. The table is of heavy round cedar, and seats four. It was a vibrant lime green, although by now it has probably been repainted. All Lori is asking is that the table be returned, or, she says, "If you have information leading to the arrest of the table snatcher, lunch is on me for July!" |
