Art Around Town in Rehoboth Beach
Mosaic, a newly organized Rehoboth Beach gallery collective, has announced that their Second SaturdayDestination Art Walks will begin on May 10. Stop in at the following twelve galleries between 6 and 9 p.m. and view some of the incredible art our town has to offer. Galleries participating in the May 10 walk include: Aerie Art, Amandeline, Coastal Frameshop & Gallery, Detail, Galleria Tango, Gallery 50, Heidi Lowe, Kennedy Gallery, Panache, Philip Morton, Thunderbird Shop, and Ward Ellinger Gallery. Make Endorsements Delaware Stonewall Democrats endorsed three candidates in Delaware's State races. The organization, which represents gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered Democrats in Delaware, and fights for equal rights for all, endorsed Jack Markell, for Governor, Matt Denn for Lieutenant Governor and Gene Reed for Insurance Commissioner The organization based its endorsements on a number of criteria, including an understanding of our issues, a willingness to take some initiative in the passage of the non-discrimination legislation, and a history of working with our community, and a commitment to meet regularly with our community if elected.For more information, visit their web site delawarestonewall.org. Seat Wall Anchors New Design in CAMP Courtyard The T-shirt emblazoned with the slogan "Do It In Concrete" summed up the excitement in the CAMP Rehoboth Courtyard last week. Everyone stood and watched as the brightly colored concrete seat wall, which runs through the middle of newly refurbished courtyard, was molded into place. Construction is in full swing, so stop by and see what's new. Seventh Another Take Film Series in Rehoboth Beach Make plans to attend the seventh bi-annual gay and lesbian themed film festival co-sponsored by the Rehoboth Beach Film Society and CAMP Rehoboth, May 15-17.
