Hank Thomas
Henry “Hank” Evans Thomas IV, 75, Lt. Col., U.S. Marine Corps, Ret., a resident of Silver Spring, Md., died quietly Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at the VA Medical Center, Washington, D.C., with his life partner, confidante and friend, John-Kevin Litschgi, by his side.
He was born Oct. 15, 1937, in Charlotte, N.C. to the late Laleah (nee Gray) and Henry Evans Thomas III. He is loved and missed by many friends, neighbors and his sons, Evans and Nick, and their children.
A Requiem Mass was held, Saturday, Oct. 29, at St. George’s Chapel in Harbeson. Committal and burial was at All Saints’ Cemetery next to the chapel.
The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center, 37 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
Rick Meyers
Richard A. Meyers of Washington, DC and Rehoboth Beach, DE died October 25, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Kearny, NJ on March 4, 1947 to the late William J. and Ruth M. Meyers.
Richard, “Rick”, attended Edison, NJ and Chartiers Valley, PA High Schools. Rick attended Baylor and Point Park Universities. He spent most of his career in human resources management retiring from the American Bankers Association in 2006. He was an avid snow skier and beach lover, maintaining a year round home in Rehoboth Beach where he left this life at peace surrounded by friends.
Rick was pre-deceased by his partner Philip Adkins and his brother David Meyers. He is survived by his loving mother-in-law, Louise Adkins; sister-in-law Alison Adkins Groene; nephew Robert Farrell and wife Lisa; niece Lindsey Burr and husband Jarrett; and many cousins scattered from Vermont to California.
Rick will be buried in a private service in Low Gap, NC. A celebration of Rick’s life will be held at a later date in Rehoboth Beach, DE. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes, DE.

Steven Coon
Steven E. Coon, 57, of Rehoboth Beach and formerly of Washington, DC, died Thursday, November 3, 2011, at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford.
Steven was the son of Betty and Donald Coon. He was a graduate of Ferris State University, Big Rapids, Michigan, with a bachelor’s degree in business. He then received his master’s degree in business administration from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. Steven was employed by the National Association of Chain Drug Stores.
Steven is survived by his companion of 33 years, Ron Biggs of Rehoboth Beach; a sister, Vicky Ford of LeRoy, Mich.; a brother, Don Coon (Maryann) of Grand Rapids, Mich.; nephew Robert Petrimoulx of Lake City; nephew Steven R. Coon of Mt. Pleasant, Mich.; niece Michelle Coon Moler of Billings, Mont.; nephew Brian Coon of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two grand-nephews of Billings; and a beloved dog, Bridget.
Steven and Ron enjoyed traveling both in the United States and in numerous foreign countries.
A memorial service will be held at a future date to be determined. The family requests contributions in Steve’s memory be sent to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford DE 19963. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.
