Thank You SCOTUS! DOMA Goes Down!

On June 26, the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center was packed all day with folks celebrating the announcement that the U.S. Supreme Court had struck down DOMA—the Defense of Marriage Act. The ruling means that same-sex couples who can legally marry in Delaware beginning July 1 will be entitled to all the federal benefits afforded married heterosexuals.

Join us at CAMP Rehoboth at 10 a.m on Monday, July 1 as Sussex County Clerk of the Peace John Brady celebrates the first gay marriage in our county.

Gender Identity Bill Becomes Law in DE

We’re finally giving protection to the “T” in the LGBT family of Delaware. On June 19, Delaware Governor Jack Markell signed legislation which adds gender identity and expression as a protected class to the state’s hate crime and non-discrimination laws.

Lots of people worked hard on this, but special thanks to Sarah McBride, Lisa Goodman and Mark Purpura.

PNC Brunch and Seminar at CAMP

Now that marriage laws are available to same-sex couples on the federal, as well as the state level, good information is more important than ever. CAMP Rehoboth is pleased to join with PNC Wealth Management to answer your relationship questions. Join us for brunch at the CAMP Community Center on Sunday, July 21. For more information, call Melinda Hill at 302-645-6010.
