Award Winning Songs Coming Your Way…
CAMP Rehoboth Chorus, a very popular program of CAMP Rehoboth, is currently in rehearsals for its 2015 winter and spring concerts titled, And the Winner Is. As the theme suggests, the repertoire will feature songs from various music genres that received an award such as an Oscar, Tony, or Grammy for Pop, Country-Western, Folk, R&B, and more! Under music director Doug Yetter’s artistic leadership and accompanist Dave Zipse’s expertise, the chorus is happily vocalizing and harmonizing, and excited that the 2014-2015 season is underway! The number, including a large cadre of new members, has grown to over 80 singers.
The chorus is delighted to announce that, in order to accommodate its growing audiences, and to insure that there is truly room for all, three concerts are scheduled at Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach: Friday night, February 6, 2015, 7 p.m.; Saturday night, February 7, 2015, 7 p.m.; and Sunday afternoon, February 8, 2015, 4 p.m. The Leadership Committee will soon announce a second venue for an encore concert in the spring, as well, so stay tuned!
Ticket sales and grant money do not fully fund the chorus, and they must rely on program advertisers to assist. The chorus encourages chorus members, CAMP Rehoboth members, and the community-at-large to give back to these businesses for their generosity by patronizing their establishments. Enjoy a drink and a meal with supporters and tell them, “Thanks!” The following restaurants stepped forward last season: Dos Locos, The Pond, Big Sissies, Rigby’s, Purple Parrot, Go Brit, Go Fish, and Mixx.
The CAMP Rehoboth Chorus is a community choral group providing high-quality musical entertainment for all audiences in Delaware. The Chorus reflects CAMP Rehoboth’s vision to “Create a More Positive Rehoboth” by reaching out to all and bringing the community together through the power of song.
This program is made possible, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency dedicated to nurturing and supporting the arts in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
