PERFORMING ARTS

CAMP Rehoboth Chorus gives you one more chance to catch the musical event of the season, Sassy, Brassy and Classy, Sunday, March 20 (3 p.m.) at the Arts and Science Center Theater at Del Tech Community College. Tickets at camprehoboth.com.
Clear Space Theatre Company (20 Baltimore Avenue; 302-227-2270) invites you to “tap your troubles away” with Cole Porter’s Anything Goes March 18-April 3. Their Broadway Legends program presents Gypsy on March 23 with one free show at 11 a.m., and their Spotlight on Young Performers presents Into the Woods, Jr. April 15-17.
Coastal Concerts (in residence at Bethel UMC Hall; Fourth and Market Streets, Lewes; 888-212-6458; P.O. Box 685; Lewes, DE. 19958) presents The Lincoln Trio—Saturday, March 19 (7 p.m.). The wonderful (and inventive!) string quartet Sybarite5 appears April 16 (8 p.m.), as their first “wild card” non-subscription concert. Admission is reduced to $20 for this concert, and the group will give a pre-concert talk at 6:30. Saturday, April 23 (7 p.m.), two Peabody Conservatory graduates join forces to give a free concert in Bridgeville at Union United Methodist Church (2 N. Laws Street) as part of Coastal Concerts’ R.A.V.E. (Rising Artist and Venue Expansion) series, sponsored in part by The Longwood Foundation. Tickets: $30. Ages 10-18, as well as one adult per youth, are admitted free with advance reservations; $10 admission for students 19+ and active and retired military with ID.

Rehoboth Concert Band plays a Benefit Concert for the local chapter of P.E.O. International featuring vocalist Dara Schumairer from Southern Delaware Chorale. Opening March 26: Two Women from Wilmington—a retrospective of the work of Tua Hayes and Bonnie VonDuyke, both members of the Howard Pyle Studio Group in the mid to latter half of the 20th century. Rehoboth Art League (12 Dodds Lane in Henlopen Acres; 302-227-8408) has two major Members’ exhibitions opening on Friday February 12 (5–7 p.m.)—Red (exploring) has two major Members’ exhibitions through March 15: Red (exploring the power and perception of the color red) and From Our Hands (a pottery and ceramic showcase by over fifty RAL Member artists). The second Salon of the 2016 season is Inside the Craftsman’s Studio—March 17 (6-8 p.m.) in the Chambers Studio. Ceramic artists Wes Stack and Kate Lear will discuss the history of the craft and provide a demonstration. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served.
